Alexis, what does ART really mean to you and at what point in your life did you decide to become an ART advocate and representative?
This is a fascinating question to me. I believe there is an evolution in what art in fact means to me – and to most people. As we evolve and grow the understanding of our emotions, passions, and of course the way we appreciate art changes. I naturally became more involved as an advocate and/or representative of ART by growing and evolving with art and my appreciation and ability to adapt to change.
You currently represent and direct several artists, what aspects are essential for you to find in an artist before you decide to work with them?
As more of a ‘boutique’ art representative, I have the luxury of hand picking the artists that I truly want to work with. It is essential that I believe in the artist – not from monetary perspective, more so in their approach in how they develop and curate their works. I believe in the relationship between the artist and their art. These are the talents that I want to be working with and for.
